Welcome to my blog! I document my relocation adventure from California to Singapore. Hope you enjoy the blog and have a nice day!
There is something to be said for the simplicity of a fortune cookie. I’m not sure if it’s the crisp crunch or mild, yet sweet, taste it leaves in your mouth (if it isn’t stale, of course). These cookies have the distinction of being delicious and informative. When I was younger I had the odd habit of keeping all of my fortune cookies in a Pochacco photo wallet. I loved reading the fortunes and somehow hoped they would turn true. In most cases they rarely did. Fast forward a decade or so… My love of Chinese food and fortune cookies hasn’t waned one bit.
The second week of December 2015, I visited one of my favorite Chinese food spots, Dragons Pond. The fortune cookie I received was one worthy of keeping. It read, “Travel and Adventure will feed your soul in life.” That same week, I applied to help open a new store with Apple in Singapore. This blog is about me filling my soul on my new adventure relocating 8,430 miles from California to the Lion City.
